Leadership Team

Our church is lead day-to-day by our small deacon's team along with our Pastor, Andrew Clark.

As a part of the Baptist family, we have a congregational approach which means all church members participate in key decisions in our church life.

Who we are...

Our Church is fully affiliated with the Baptist Union of Scotland, a network of church communities who ascribe to a shared 'Declaration of Principle' which states:

  • That the Lord Jesus Christ our God and Saviour is the sole and absolute authority in all matters pertaining to faith and practice, as revealed in the Holy Scriptures, and that each Church has liberty, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to interpret and administer His laws.

  • That Christian Baptism is the immersion in water into the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, of those who have professed repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for our sins according to the Scriptures; was buried and rose again the third day.

  • That it is the duty of every disciple to bear witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to take part in the evangelisation of the world.

What we believe...

We believe in:

  • The Sovereignty and Grace of God, Father, Son,and Holy Spirit - in creation, providence, revelation, redemption, and final judgement.

  • The divine inspiration of Holy Scripture, as originally given, and its consequent entire trustworthiness and supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

  • The universal sinfulness and guilt of fallen man making him subject to God's wrath and condemnation.

  • The substitutionary sacrifice of the incarnate Son of God as the sole and all-sufficient ground of redemption from the guilt and power of sin and from its eternal consequences.

  • The justification of the sinner solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ crucified and risen from the dead.

  • The illuminating, regenerating, indwelling, empowering and sanctifying work of God the Holy Spirit.

  • The priesthood of all believers who form the universal Church, the Body of which Christ is the head and which is committed to the proclamation of the Gospel throughout the world.

  • The expectation of the personal visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory.
